It is with deepest sorrow that the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology announces the passing of Mary Morash-Watts. Mary was the Department鈥檚 Administrative Secretary for 32 years prior to her retirement in 2009. She began working in the department under Dr. Victor Thiessen and went on for three more decades to become the stone pillar of the department. Her enormous dedication to her work was equaled only by her empathy for the students, faculty and staff. We who were fortunate to work with her will always hold her close in our memories and hearts with timeless gratitude for her countless acts of kindness. We extend our deepest condolences to Mary鈥檚 family and friends.
