Now an international observance, April 28 began as a day of mourning for workers killed, injured or made ill by their job. It is not only a day to remember and honour lives lost or injured due to a workplace tragedy, but also a day to collectively renew our commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace and prevent further injuries, illnesses, and deaths.
Organizations, employees, communities, and individuals are encouraged to hold or support an event, or to simply observe a moment of silence today at 11am. Please watch and share  to commemorate the Day of Mourning.
