Caring Near and Far is a multi-province research study looking at whether remote monitoring technology helps keep seniors at home longer and reduces caregiver stress.

Position:Ìý ÌýResearch Assistant, part-time

Start and End Dates:Ìý Ìýapproximately July 15 to Dec 15, 2020

Hours per week: 4-10 hours per week

Hourly rate of payÌý $20 per hour plus 4% vacation pay and travel allowance

Department location: Forrest Building, 5869 University Avenue

Duties and responsibilities:

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Conduct structured and semi-structured in-person and telephone interviews during the week and the occasional evening or weekend.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Complete tasks and duties as assigned by the Research Coordinator.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Must have a flexible schedule with availability for 2 hour interviews.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Must have access to a vehicle and the ability to travel within Halifax Regional Municipality.

Qualifications:

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý An interest in health care, seniors, and/or research.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Research and interviewing experience will be considered an asset.
