Do you have questions about putting PDFs in Brightspace? Screening films in class? What copyright issues do you need to consider?
Given the recent changes surrounding ʹڲapp’s agreement with Access Copyright, the ʹڲapp Copyright Office will be providing a presentation on the ʹڲapp Agricultural Campus on February 9th.
An open session will be held between 2-3pm on February 9th in the “Librarian’s Corner” in the MacRae Library. This session will be open to all interested faculty, instructors, and staff who want to learn more about copyright at ʹڲapp. We will discuss how copyrighted material can be made available to students, provide an explanation of ʹڲapp’s Fair Dealing Guidelines, educational exemptions in the Copyright Act, licenses for e-resources, and managing your own copyright.
After that there will be time for Q&A and free refreshments!
Any questions ahead of time please don’t hesitate to contact the Copyright Office (at Copyright.Office@Dal.ca, or 902-494-4346), or Erin MacPherson at Erin.MacPherson@Dal.ca
